U.S. BANK ORGANIZES FALL PARADE OF
HOMES IN GALENA AREA TO BENEFIT HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF
JO DAVIESS COUNTY
GALENA, IL. September 2, 2003 – Colorful
leaves won’t be the only thing on parade in the Galena
area this October….10 new homes will also be on display
for local residents and tourists to view on Saturday,
October 18 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. and Sunday, October
19 from noon to 5:00 p.m.
U.S. Bank employees have worked with the
area builders and businesses in Jo Daviess County to
develop the area’s first annual fall Parade of Homes
that showcases newly-constructed homes. The tour
includes a wide variety of home styles, with the latest
high tech innovations and a mix of prices, with values
up to $1,100,000.

president, said that the
tour is a must see
to check out the latest trends in new home construction
and interior design as well as the quality workmanship
of local builders. “Our goal is to bring
together those looking for ideas to build, remodel or
purchase a home of their dreams with local builders and
building suppliers.” 
Proceeds from the ticket sales for the
2003 Parade of Homes will go to benefit Habitat for
Humanity of Jo Daviess County. “The U.S. Bank employees
have set up a special ‘U.S. Bank Cares’ fund raising
account to support local charities. By organizing the
Parade of Homes, we’ll be donating the ticket proceeds
this year to the Habitat for Humanity of Jo Daviess
County to assist a local resident in need of a new
home.”
Discounted parade tickets and maps can be picked up in
advance for $7 at U.S. Bank’s Galena offices at 115
Perry Street and 953 Gear Street. On the days of the
event, tickets can be purchased at any of the Parade
homes for $10. Children 12 and under are $5. Parade maps
can be picked up at: Dubuque U.S. Bank offices or in the
Galena Territory at: Eagle Ridge Inn and Resort or
Spike’s Bar and Grill. Parade of Homes Guides will be at
